Yesterday, Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar announced happily that all sexual harassment charges leveled against him by singer Meesha Shafi were dismissed. The 38-year-old singer, actor and songwriter opened up on being accused of sexual harassment, an allegation levied by singer Meesha Shafi, in April last year.
In his long post on social media, Zafar had written, “Meesha Shafi’s case against me has been dismissed alongside the appeal made against the dismissal, the case in the court (now) is my (read: me) against her to pay for the damages that her false statement has (read: have) caused me, which naturally she is trying to run away from. I have been quiet about all this for a year while thousands of disgusting tweets are posted against me like a campaign every time a big event comes, but it’s time to expose the truth via due process of law for which I urge FIA to take strict legal action," and then urged, “I would like everyone to join me in asking Miss Shafi to come to court.”

Now it seems the actor is in no mood to forgive the lady. He has started a trend on social media called #FaceTheCourtMeeshaShafi and has exposed her by sharing a copy of the case dismissal. The singer wrote, "Here’s the copy of Meesha’s case dismissal exonerating me in the eyes of the law. Now I will prove in the eyes of people, with evidence, how she lied! I will also expose the most heinous social media campaign against me that you may ever seen. #FaceTheCourtMeeshaShafi".

Joning him is wife Ayesha Fazli who also posted, "What me, my husband @AliZafarsays and my family have gone through at the hands of such criminal cruelty can never be explained in words. For those who've come in late, the Zafar-Meesha controversy began during the Lux Style Awards in 2018 when Shafi accused Zafar of molesting her physically on ‘more than one occasion’. And now it seems the popular actor and his wife are in mood to let things pass.
